AK | One Voice, One Land | Official Song
Written by Ashok Kunreddy
[Spoken Intro]
In a land of thousands of languages,
why do we still borrow another nation’s words
just to understand each other?
This song isn’t about hate.
It’s about identity.
It’s about unity.
A dream…
for one voice…
in one land.
[Verse 1]
Born in a land of a thousand tongues,
Every sound, a song unsung.
Voices rising from every shore,
Stories older than time before.
We spoke in words from far away,
They helped us walk a global way.
But tell me now, don’t you feel
Our hearts still hold a voice that’s real?
[Chorus]
One voice.
One land.
One dream to understand.
Let the language of our soul
rise from this land.
Be it Sanskrit, Hindi,
Tamil or Telugu’s hand —
Let it be our own voice,
born of this land.
[Verse 2]
Our elders fought for the flag we raise,
For freedom’s light, for brighter days.
For the soil beneath our feet,
For a nation proud and complete.
No hate, no walls, no divide,
Just a bridge where hearts collide.
Keep our roots, keep our pride,
But let one voice walk beside.
[Chorus]
One voice.
One land.
One dream to understand.
Let the language of our soul
rise from this land.
Be it Sanskrit, Hindi,
Tamil or Telugu’s hand
Let it be our own voice,
born of this land.
[Bridge – Spoken Word]
Not for power.
Not for the throne.
But for children
yet to be grown.
Teach them love.
Teach them pride.
Let one voice
be their guide.
Through pen and paper,
through song and art,
Let unity live
in every heart.
Vote, decide
let’s make it true.
Let Bhārat speak
through me and you.
[Final Chorus]
One voice.
One land.
One dream to understand.
Not from beyond,
but from our own strand.
From the South to the North,
from the East to the West,
Let it be our own voice
the one we call our best.
[Outro – Spoken]
Let it be our own voice…
Born of this land.

AK | One Voice, One Land | Official Song | Behind Story
Written by Ashok Kunreddy
Hello and welcome…
This is your host, AK.
Thank you for being here,
and for taking a moment to listen.
Today, I want to share the story behind my song —
“One Voice, One Land.”
For me, this isn’t just a song.
It’s a feeling.
A question.
And a dream I’ve carried quietly for a long time.
This song comes from a thought that often returns to me
whenever I travel across our country.
In our own land — in Bharat —
why do we still need another nation’s language
just to understand each other?
I come from Telangana,
where Telugu runs deep in my veins.
But when I speak with someone
from another part of Bharat,
I often find myself switching to English —
a language that never truly belonged to our soil,
a language that arrived here through a history
we didn’t choose.
Now, please don’t misunderstand me.
I don’t hate English,
and I don’t disrespect those who speak it.
English helps us connect with the world.
It helps us grow, learn, and communicate with many countries.
But deep inside, I still ask myself —
Why can’t we, the people of Bharat,
connect with each other
through a language born from our own land?
A language that carries
the breath of our ancestors,
the rhythm of our rivers,
the sound of our festivals,
and the pride of our freedom.
When I wrote “One Voice, One Land,”
I wasn’t choosing one language over another.
I was choosing a dream.
A dream that one day
every person in Bharat —
from North to South,
East to West —
can speak to each other in one voice
that is truly ours.
Whether it’s Sanskrit,
Hindi,
Tamil,
Telugu,
or any other language born here —
let that decision come not from fights or politics,
but from understanding…
from unity…
maybe even from the voice of the people themselves.
The goal is not to erase our regional languages.
Our languages are our roots.
Telugu in Telangana and Andhra.
Tamil in Tamil Nadu.
Malayalam in Kerala.
Kannada in Karnataka.
Hindi in the Hindi-speaking states.
Every language carries its own beauty, history, and pride.
Those languages must live forever.
But when we all meet together
as one Bharat,
imagine if we shared one common voice
born from this very soil.
So which language should it be?
For me, it could be any of them.
Sanskrit.
Hindi.
Tamil.
Telugu.
Each one carries the soul of Bharat.
Instead of arguing —
“Why Tamil?”
“Why Hindi?”
“Why Telugu?”
“Why Kannada?” —
why not decide together?
Why not allow the people of Bharat
to choose one national language
born in Bharat,
belonging to Bharat?
Then we can begin with the next generation.
Children entering school today —
Class 0, Class 1.
If they begin learning that language together,
the change will not happen overnight.
But over generations, it can become real.
By the time these children reach Class 10,
they could speak that language fluently,
communicating across Bharat in one shared voice —
while still loving and preserving
their own mother tongues.
I imagine a future
where no child needs to borrow another nation’s words
to dream,
to learn,
or to connect with their fellow citizens.
A future where they sing, write, and think
in a language born in Bharat.
That is the spirit behind this song.
A message.
A hope.
A call for unity.
And yes —
today I am sharing this song in English.
Only so that every person across Bharat
can understand the idea behind it.
But maybe one day
our children won’t need that bridge anymore.
They will grow up speaking
one Bharatiya language —
a voice carrying our culture,
our identity,
and our pride.
That is the dream I see.
Do you agree?
If you do,
stand for it.
Speak about it.
Imagine it.
Because every change begins with a thought.
One voice.
One land.
Born of this soil.
This song is not an answer.
It’s an invitation.
An invitation to think…
to feel…
and to imagine a future shaped by unity, not division.
Thank you for listening…
Stay tuned for more.
Signing off…
