AK | Village School | Official Song
Hip-Hop / World Music
Written by Ashok Kunreddy
Verse 1
Morning sun on dusty roads
Wind blows soft, the story unfolds
Little steps, hearts full of dreams
Walking paths where the future gleams
Books in hand, eyes on the sky
Every small step makes us fly
From this village, weāll rise high
Dreams take off, no need to hide
Verse 2
Under shade of the old oak trees
Friends laugh loud, feel the breeze
Simple books, simple hopes we keep
Brighten every day, sow what we reap
Lessons learned in the playground light
Voices strong, future bright
From village fields to the world unknown
Every seed of hope weāve sown
Chorus / Hook 1
Village school, our little world
Where our dreams all start
Small classrooms and open skies
Big dreams in every heart
Village school, guiding light
Shining warm and bright
From these fields to anywhere
We learn how to fly
Chorus / Hook 2
Village school, our little world
Where our dreams all start
Small classrooms and open skies
Big dreams in every heart
Village school, guiding light
Shining warm and bright
From these fields to anywhere
We learn how to fly
Verse 3
Chalk on board, teacherās smile
Stories that inspire, go the mile
Lessons carried in our hearts
Lifting spirits, giving sparks
From the small paths we grow strong
Village roots guide us along
Every dream we chase today
Takes us further, lights the way
Bridge
From small seeds, dreams arise
From small steps, we touch the skies
Village roots will always stay
Guiding light along our way
Final Chorus / Hook 3
Village school, our little world
Where our dreams all start
Small classrooms and open skies
Big dreams in every heart
Village school, guiding light
Shining warm and bright
From these fields to anywhere
We learn how to fly
Village school, our little world
Where our dreams all start
Small classrooms and open skies
Big dreams in every heart
Village school, guiding light
Forever shining bright
From this village to the world
We carry its light

AK | Village School | Official Song | Behind Story
Written by Ashok Kunreddy
Hello and welcome.
This is your host, AK.
Thank you for being here and taking a moment to listen.
Today I want to share something very personal ā the story and thoughts behind my track āVillage School.ā
This piece is inspired by my own childhood and my experience studying in a Zilla Parishad High School, and by the belief that some of the most powerful learning environments can exist in the simplest places.
What you are about to hear is not just about one school, but about the potential of village education, community, and the dreams that begin in small classrooms.
Growing up in a farming family, I often heard a powerful phrase in our culture:
āRaitu ye Raju.ā
āThe farmer is the king.ā
It is a beautiful idea ā one that reflects the deep respect our society has for those who feed the nation.
But as a farmerās son growing up in a village, I often felt that this statement did not always reflect the reality many farming families experience. Their challenges are real, and many of them remain unseen or unspoken.
Perhaps one of the most powerful ways we can honor farmers and rural communities is by strengthening education in villages.
When village schools become strong, accessible, and inspiring, they give the children of farmers and rural families the opportunity to dream bigger, learn freely, and shape their own futures.
In that sense, strengthening village education is not only about schools ā it is also a tribute to farmers, families, and the communities that sustain our country.
To explain why this matters so deeply to me, let me share a part of my own journey.
Why Every Child Should Study in a ZPHS ā A Thought from My Life
I was born and raised in a small village called PeddaGudem, and I studied up to my 10th standard in ZPHS PeddaGudem in Nalgonda District, Telangana, Bharat. From my experience, I strongly believe that every child should study in a ZPHS ā not necessarily my school, but in their own villageās Zilla Parishad High School.
Today many people believe that studying in private or model schools automatically means better education and a better future. Private schools may work for some, but we should not underestimate our government schools.
Government school teachers are highly qualified. They pass competitive state or national exams to become teachers and dedicate their careers to educating the next generation.
Letās also think about the financial reality.
From Class 1 to Class 10 in ZPHS, the school fee is zero.
Yes ā completely free.
And most ZPHS schools are within walking distance of our homes.
Now think about private schools.
How much do we pay every year for one child?
What if we have two children?
By the time they reach 10th standard, families may have spent lakhs of rupees.
Many people complain that government schools lack facilities like sanitation or proper infrastructure. Governments certainly should improve them. But we must also ask ourselves: if we can spend so much money on private education, can we not support our own village schools even a little?
Imagine if each family contributed just one year of private school fees toward improving their local ZPHS. Our village schools could become world-class institutions right next to our homes.
Let me also share the difference in lifestyle.
Many private school students wake up early, rush to catch the bus, travel long distances, study all day, travel back again, and reach home exhausted.
Where is the time for childhood?
In my ZPHS days, life felt balanced.
I woke up early and studied peacefully. I exercised, played with friends, and sometimes helped my mother with morning household work before going to school.
We had a one-hour lunch break and received free midday meals.
One of my favorites was Pullammaās āPappu Charuā ā I still remember the aroma even today.
School ended at 4 PM.
After that we played sports, enjoyed time near the canal, and experienced the joy of village life until sunset.
In the evening, I studied and spent time talking with my grandparents, parents, friends ā and also banda meeda muchatu, something many villagers would understand well.
That was education with life.
ZPHS schools can teach English, French, German, or any modern subject. Technology and global learning can easily reach these schools too.
The real change needed is our mindset.
If studying from Class 1 to Class 10 in our village government schools makes sense, then we can also start thinking further ā about Intermediate, Degree, Masterās, and Post-Graduation.
Maybe they may not always be right next to our homes, but the same idea can continue: quality education that is accessible, affordable, and not a financial burden on families.
Education should not push families into stress or debt.
It should empower communities.
Let us rethink our choices ā not just for money, but for our childrenās time, their happiness, and the well-being of our villages.
My hope is to see this change grow across Bharat and across the globe ā where villages value their local schools, and where communities and authorities come together to strengthen education.
A future where every child, no matter where they are born, has access to learning, opportunity, and dignity close to their own community.
Because when education becomes accessible at the village level, it not only transforms individual lives ā it strengthens entire societies.
After writing āVillage School,ā
“I realized that real education is not defined by buildings or feesāit is shaped by the roots we grow from, the community we belong to, and the values we carry forward from our own soil.”
